As part of the project Postdigital and Inclusive Higher Education: Transformation and Well-being of the Individual and the System (PIVO: PIHE), a workshop on data collection methods and qualitative data analysis was held at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Split on 18 February 2026.
The workshop was led by Assoc. Prof. Ivana Macuka, PhD, from the Department of Psychology at the University of Zadar. During the workshop, participants were introduced to methodological approaches to collecting data through interviews and focus groups, with particular emphasis on research design, conducting interviews, and the ethical aspects of working with research participants. A dedicated session focused on the qualitative processing and analysis of the collected data. Participants gained insight into the fundamental steps of organising, coding, and interpreting qualitative data, as well as recommendations for ensuring the reliability and credibility of qualitative analysis.
The workshop brought together members of the project team and collaborators interested in the application of qualitative research methods. The knowledge and skills acquired will contribute to the successful implementation and quality of the project’s planned research activities.
