Postdigital and Inclusive Higher Education: Transformation and Well-being of Individuals and the Higher Education System (PIVO: PIHE)

The project empowers students, academic staff, and higher education leaders to drive an inclusive, flexible, and resilient transformation of higher education in a time of continuous change.

Project Objectives

  • Specific Objective 1.1 (SO1.1): Identify the organisational and structural factors that facilitate or hinder the process of educational change within the higher education system.
  • Specific Objective 1.2 (SO1.2): Examine the cultural and social values, as well as the educational philosophies within the academic community, that play a key role in the readiness to implement educational change.
  • Specific Objective 1.3 (SO1.3): Evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of postdigital inclusive pedagogical practices in higher education, with particular emphasis on creating adaptable and open learning environments.

  • Specific Objective 2.1 (SO2.1): Analyse existing models and the findings of previous research on transformative and inclusive leadership in the context of higher education.
  • Specific Objective 2.2 (SO2.2): Investigate how employees holding leadership positions within the higher education system perceive their own leadership characteristics.
  • Specific Objective 2.3 (SO2.3): Develop new measurement instruments for assessing transformative and inclusive leadership in higher education, tailored to the European Higher Education Area and the Republic of Croatia.
  • Specific Objective 2.4 (SO2.4): Investigate the relationship between the characteristics of transformative and inclusive leadership in higher education and organisational commitment, job satisfaction, employee well-being, as well as responsible and innovative organisational behaviours.
  • Specific Objective 2.5 (SO2.5): Experimentally investigate, using eye-tracking technology, how different leadership styles in the context of higher education influence employees’ attention, engagement, and behaviour.

  • Specific Objective 3.1 (SO3.1): Qualitatively investigate, describe, and gain a deeper understanding of the key situational factors associated with students’ mental health and well-being.
  • Specific Objective 3.2 (SO3.2): Develop and implement evidence-based recommendations for the design and implementation of targeted educational interventions and institutional support systems aimed at promoting students’ mental health and well-being, taking into account the identified situational factors and the context of Croatian higher education.
