Higher education institutions must transform into innovative and flexible systems that are responsive to the needs of the communities they serve. The key stakeholders within these systems include students, academic and professional staff, as well as leaders at different organizational levels (members of university management, heads of teaching, research and professional units, and team leaders). Strengthening their capacity to build institutional resilience in response to continuously emerging challenges is essential for the successful development of higher education institutions.

This project connects multiple dimensions of the higher education system—including educational policy, organizational structures, institutional philosophy and values, professional practice and behaviour, and individual experiences—while bringing together different stakeholder groups, such as students, teachers, researchers, and institutional leaders. Its aim is to generate new knowledge on the project’s core themes: change, inclusion, and well-being in higher education in the postdigital era.

The purpose of the project is, from both critical-constructivist and positivist perspectives and through the application of qualitative and quantitative research methods, to:

analyse educational policies in higher education;

examine different aspects of change within the higher education system;

conceptualise transformative and inclusive leadership in higher education, investigate its correlates, and explore the implementation of transformative and inclusive practices;

investigate students’
